Nevron builds Critical Event Management software for the physical world. Our platforms support governments, emergency responders, and large organizations with situational intelligence and incident management tools that enable operational resilience.

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to take responsibility for the quality, stability, and evolution of key backend systems. This is not a task-based role. You are expected to think in systems, understand architectural trade-offs, and make sound technical decisions independently.

You will work closely with experienced engineers while operating with a high degree of autonomy and ownership.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, and evolve backend services in Java.
  • Own system stability and production reliability.
  • Collaborate across engineering, product, and design.
  • Review code and raise overall engineering standards.
  • Address technical debt pragmatically.
  • Improve performance, resilience, and observability.
  • Contribute to architectural direction and long-term strategy.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong hands-on experience with Java in production systems.
  • Ability to work autonomously in complex codebases.
  • Deep understanding of backend architecture and trade-offs.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and data modelling.
  • Comfort with databases and transactional systems.
  • High sense of ownership and responsibility.
